Abstract This paper proposes a simulation of high current switching converter for electric vehicle battery charger circuit. The simulation is used MATLAB application. The structure of this circuit divides into two sections including Power Factor Correction (PFC) Converter and Full-bridge PWM Inverter. The PFC converter uses to control input current to be a sine wave as an input AC voltage waveform and either is in-phase. Furthermore, it controls the output voltage to be 400V for supplying to a Full-bridge PWM inverter section. The section of full-bridge PWM inverter has an isolation transformer for isolating the electric signal to be safety in used and controls the output current of battery charging. The simulation results illustrate that PFC converter can control the input current source to be a sinusoidal waveform and control the output voltage 400V stability by using switching frequency 100 kHz. And the Full-bridge PWM inverter uses 50 kHz switching frequency, it can control the charging voltage and current to the battery 350V/ 8A by adjusting the duty cycle or two phases angle as a phase-shift controller of the inverter.
