     บทคัดย่อ This research aimed to: 1) Investigate the primary and secondary components of essential leadership among primary school principals and 2) Study different aspects of essential leadership and their correlation with empirical evidence in the primary school context. The data was collected via a 5-point rating scale questionnaire with a reliability of 0.978. Multi-stage random sampling was used to select 560 school principals from the northeastern region of Thailand. An automatic program was used for data analysis and yielded the following results: 1) The following five primary components of essential leadership were observed, along with their sub-components: (1) Learning leadership was comprised of 6 primary factors, which were a learning-friendly environment, team learning, integration, application of technology in the workplace, creativity, and self-directed learning; (2) Strategic leadership had 3 primary factors, namely, organizational direction, strategic action, and tracking and evaluating strategies; (3) Technological leadership consisted of 4 primary factors, including applying technology to teaching and learning, applying technology to school management, applying technology to evaluation, and practicing ethics when using technology; (4) Collaborative leadership consisted of 5 primary factors, namely, rotating leadership roles, shared decision-making, networking and team building, ability to communicate, and ability to make change; and (5) Ethical leadership had 5 primary factors, which were trustworthiness, justice, responsibility, respect, and good citizenship. 2) The aforementioned aspects of essential leadership among school principals were found to be relevant to empirical evidence according to set standards. Statistical findings were: Qi-Square (χ2) = 94.294, df =89, P-Value = 0.253, RMSEA= 0.013, SRMR = 0.019, CFI = 0.999, and TLI = 0.998.
