This course is intended to introduce the student to the concepts and theory of RF circuit design. Topics covered include passive RF components, resonant circuits, loaded Q, insertion loss, filter design, finite Q effects, impedance matching, complex loads, Smith charts, RF transistors, Y parameters, S parameters, small signal RF amplifier design, RF power amplifiers, noise, practical wiring hints, matching to coaxial/microstrip/stripline, feedlines, RF simulation.
