| บทคัดย่อ |
The study of Surin moat area structure in order to classify types and models of urban life activities aims to enrich the importance and found the roles of this historical area. The researcher collected data which related to the important history, the role of the Phraya Surin Pakdhi Sinarong Jangwang area and the activities which participated by urban people. The study was conducted during 2009-2011. The researcher conducted the study on Surin moat history and analysis the physical, economical and society alteration. The Potential Surface Analysis (PSA), interview and questionnaire were used.
Surin moat is an important historical area. It is the main physical characteristics of Surin town and become the area of urbanization where urban life activities take place. To study the Surin mote structure and urban life aims to study the physical structure of the moat and the potential of the area toward the urban life which emphasized on the moat area management. The study procedures consisted of 1) document research, 2) the aerial photograph interpretation, 3) create the map to regulate the system, 4) field survey and 5) PSA evaluation. The research finding showed that the historical area, drainage system, green area and urban life activities area related to the relation between the role and model of Surin moat area appliance. They were very important toward the relation and the time overlapping between the moat and the urban area. The important evidence was the double moat around the city which showed the palatial transformation. Nowadays, there are government offices, the pieces of land that owned by people and the space area for urban life activities in the area. The area of the Phraya Surin Pakdhi Sinarong Jangwang and Suan Rak Park showed the highest potential for urban life activities. The researchers had also studied the perception of the local people and the outside toward the image of the city.
The result showed where the attractive point, the activity areas, the route and the area were. It is found that Phraya Surin Pakdhi Sinarong Jangwang and the nearby area was prominent and represent as the symbol of Surin. There were 98 percent of the samples of the study agreed that the area had high potential, space and linkage to create the urban life activities, festival and led to lively ways of life in the moat and urban area. However, the lack of area management, light and sometime the place became the gang up area for teenager. Therefore, there should be the law or regulation for these problems. The area should be area design for highest benefit which works harmoniously with urban life activities. The province should promote lively activities in the moat area to enrich the lively way of life in the city.
