Abstract A 1.2 kW Commercial Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) system is modeled by using neural networks. Two fuel cell controllers using intelligent systems are proposed, investigated and compared. The simulation results show the satisfactory control performances and implied that the intelligent systems can be a good candidate for PEMFC modeling and control.
