| Abstract |
The purpose of this research was to investigate how banks in Thailand implemented in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The research helped to gain knowledge and better understanding in advocating CSR of bank in Thailand. The population was indicated to the 5 banks in Thailand which achieved highest of market shared. The data collection was relied on both of primary and secondary data, namely annual report, sustainable report, and the interviews with
managers. The secondary data was gathered on the printed material published. The in-depth interview was taken through semi-structural interview. The findings revealed that CSR of the banks was played dominantly by written CSR policy at a strategic level, focused on being responsible with stakeholders, and involved in CSR activities on a long term view. The banks operate with capabilities and responsible to stakeholder. The banks’ strategy is consistent in CSR and principally engaged in the practice of the banks’ ethical values. However, it is different in the focus point of CSR in
each bank because of CSR is performed in accordance with the policy of the bank. Moreover, strategic CSR helps the banks to obtain benefits in long term.
