     บทคัดย่อ The northeast identities are inherited from wisdoms combined with local belief, values, traditions and cultures. In the interior design society, it has been wakeful and more progressive because more culture-based creativities used to express identities of local wisdoms and traditions have been increasingly invested. However, only a small number of the hotel interior designs were associated with the identities of the north eastern region. Thus, this research aimed to study the pattern and northeast identities of hotel interior designs to compose an analytic guidance for interior design. It was also to study patterns and northeast identity perception in hotel interior designs targeting to 1) examine the pattern evolution of former interior design in hotels located in north eastern region and 2) apply the northeast identities in hotel interior designs and to study the perception of northeast identities in hotel interior designs among hotel customers. The mixed research methodology was employed e.g. quantity- and quality-based research to observe population and research samples in north eastern region. Research tools were questionnaires, survey forms, observation forms, interviews and focus group discussion. The results suggested that the evolution of former hotel using the northeast identities in their interior design could be divided into 3 periods, 1) more than 50 years, 2) 40-50 years and 3) 30-40 years. In each phase, the pattern was different. Due to the application of northeast identities in hotel interior design obtained from 15 hotels that used the northeast identities as the designing concept, it was found that the influential factors of the hotel interior design were cultures, traditions and belief from locals, north eastern region and neighboring countries. In term of the northeast identity perception in hotel interior design, hotel customers and experts agreed that it should be more considered on the implication interpretation of the northeast identities applied in the interior designs inside the hotel rooms because the customers were insufficient to understand the northeast identities in the interior designs. Due to the observation of hotel interior designs using the northeast identities, it could be able to apply in the interior designs in hotels located in the north eastern region and to sustainably preserve the local identities of the north east.
