| Abstract |
Accessing and exchanging data across heterogeneous systems become problems due to the lack of a uniform system and an accepted standard. In healthcare domain, each healthcare institute has used the different Electronic Patient Records (EPR) systems to manage the patient health information. The EPR systems are developed proprietarily and often only serve one specific requirement within a healthcare institute. This research proposes a framework for interoperating the healthcare systems using semantic Web Services. A framework is designed to incorporate with important procedures, such as, the Semantic Web services annotation is imperative to cope with the semantic service discrepancies with the help of rule-based generation. The ontology mapping is the process of determining correspondences between information concepts with semantic bridges description to construct the semantic rules. As a result, the framework enables semantic interoperability among independently developed healthcare system for integrating the healthcare information. |
