To investigate the effect of oil supplementation on gas production and degradability of dairy diet. The tallow, palm oil, soy bean oil and sunflower oil were added at 4% in the concentrate. Concentrate contained 12% crude protein (CP) and 2.2 Mcal ME/kg DM and then mixed with rice straw at ratio of 50:50. Gas production (GP) was recorded at 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 30, 36, 48, 60, 72 and 96 h after incubation. After 24 and 48 h, the incubation was stopped and the inoculants were determined for in-vitro dry matter degradability (IVDMD) and in-vitro organic matter degradability (IVOMD). The results revealed that rate of gas production of tallow was the highest (P<0.05). IVDMD and IVOMD were not different (P>0.05) among treatments.
