Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this study to study social networks of active ageing elderly in Northeast, Thailand. The data collected by 20 elderly who is registerd intellectual tank program and local wisdom. Selected the first KI by elderly who attended the event as often as possible in Kalasin Province, Thailand. Then collected next KI by snowball technique. Data were collected using in-depth interviews by Semi-Structured Interview technique (SSI) with interview guideline and observation both participant observation and non-participant observation. Data analyzed by content analysis with ATLAS.ti and present data by described with diagram. Result found that KI building network by relative such as child, son in law and who living in same village nearly sub-district and same district. They had same believe and same interested that organic farming, economy sufficiency and using Thai herb. Purpose to improve quality of life. Sharing activities was knowledge transfer, consultation and resource exchange. And they mutually benefits follows inherit knowledge, reduce cost, increase income, healthy and self-reliant.
