| Abstract |
This paper, “The Composition of Community-based Tourism based on Mor Lam Cultural Heritage in Khon Kaen Province”, aimed to accomplish the following: 1) to study Mor Lam cultural heritage in Khon Kaen Province, 2) to analyze the composition of community-based tourism, and 3) to suggest the composition of community-based tourism based on Mor Lam cultural heritage in Khon Kaen Province. In this study, concepts and theories, that are related to the composition of community-based tourism and Mor Lam cultural heritage in Khon Kaen Province, were investigated. Secondary data from communities with Mor Lam cultural heritage in Khon Kaen Province was also studied. The results have revealed that Mor Lam cultural heritage is the identity of the Isan performing arts which have always been a part of the Isan way of life. In addition, there are large numbers of Mor Lam in Khon Kaen Province which represents a strong Mor Lam cultural resource for the country. This is related to the communities in Khon Kaen Province since community-based tourism is considered to have an important impact on the development of communities and the conservation of Mor Lam’s cultural heritage. There are six aspects of community-based tourism based on Mor Lam cultural heritage: 1) Mor Lam resources, 2) Community organizations, 3) Management, 4) Learning processes, 5) the Capacity of the communities, and 6) the Marketing of community-based tourism. In the future, the composition of community-based tourism based on Mor Lam cultural heritage in Khon Kaen Province, can contribute to the promotion of community-based tourism with respect to the identity of cultural heritage in Khon Kaen Province. |
