Abstract A study of the behavior of bored piles in the country is usually conducted in Bangkok where the construction of high-rise buildings with the bored pile base has been used, so it is easier to study and collect data. However, nowadays the construction of large buildings with bored pile foundation has begun to be built in many different regions, and Khon Kaen is one of the provinces where the larger buildings are being built. In accordance with a study on the behavior of bored piles with a diameter of 80 centimeters in length and the range of 18-20 meters in Khon Kaen area, this study has become the preliminary data for potential bored pile operators in Khon Kaen area in the future. From the study of friction at pile surface when compared with field test results to various theories, it has been found that Barzara & Kurkur (1986)’s theory is the closest approximation of the field test, and in terms of pile settlement, the theory of Flemming (1992) is the theory that provides the closest settlement approximation to the value obtained from the tests, and when compared to the program, the value obtained from the program also gives a different value from the value of the field test quite a lot.
