| Abstract |
Eleven known compounds (1-11) were isolated from Xylaria sp. SWUF09-62, a wooddecaying fungus belonging to the Xylariaceae family. The chemical structures were elucidated by analysis of the spectroscopic data (IR, 1H and 13C NMR). There were six mellein (1-6), two pyronone (7-8), one furan (9) and two steroid (10-11) derivatives. Compounds 1, 5 and 8 exhibited significant anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting nitric oxide (NO) production in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophage cells with the IC50 of 1.33, 10.02 and 5.91 µg/mL, respectively. |
