     Abstract This paper aimed to examine Thai pre-service teachers' existing ideas about STEM education. The participants include 20 science pre-service teachers who enrolled for teaching practice in schools as course of school internship in Khon Kaen University. Methodology regarded interpretive paradigm. The method inquiry, the participants participated in the professional learning community (PLC) of STEM education. As a part of PLC, they shared their ideas about STEM education when the PLC raised the following issues. These included (1) What is your perception about the significances of STEM education? (2) What is you learn about STEM education? (3) What did you learn about teaching strategies for STEM education? (4) Based on Thailand educational situations, could all Thai school teach STEM education in schools? and (5) For you, is it possible to organized STEM education in schools? why? Their responding on these issues were interpreted and categorized. The findings revealed that majority of them perceived that STEM education need to be provided as integration knowledge among science, mathematics, and technology context. The teaching strategies such as 5Es, 7Es, POE, PBL, and STS would be used for provided STEM learning activities. And, they held positive attitude on organizing STEM education learning activities in school setting. This study may have implications for professional development of STEM education in Thailand.
