     Abstract The study objectives were to study purchasing behaviors and the importance level of marketing mix towards chicken meat of consumers in Khon Kaen province. The data were collected from 100 consumers with purposive sampling by interviewing only consumers who had ever consumed chicken meat and were over 18 years old. The data analysis employed descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, minimum, maximum, and standard deviation. The study results found that there were 24 consumers purchasing native chicken meat and 76 consumers purchasing broiler chicken meat. Most of the consumers purchasing native chicken meat were male aged between 1850 years old and working in private companies. Purchasing criteria for the native chicken meat was mainly considered by size and smell. Most native chicken meat was bought from fresh markets and cooked for boiled dishes. The average purchasing quantity per week was around 1.1-2.0 kilograms.
