Abstract Keeping moisture and temperature in an acceptable range is necessary for high productivity in crop production, and an effective controller must be designed for this task. In this research, we present climate control of a plant factory system model that we intend to control the temperature and humidity ratio of a plant factory by focusing on actuators, airconditioners and outgoing - incoming fans using a fuzzy logic controller (FLC) with the proper parameters from a wellknown meta heuristic algorithm, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). Through computer simulation, the results indicate that the presented FLC with PSO yields a better temperature and humidity ratio than the current controller and is more energy efficient. It is recommended that the proposed method is another way to accurately control an inside climate for crop production.
