     Abstract This research explores leadership styles of school administrators of islamic elementary school in Tasikmalaya, Indonesia. The objective of this research is to study the level of leadership styles of school administrators. Tasikmalaya city is the area study of this research with the number of samples used consisting of 98 peoples, teachers and principals. The five-rating scale questionnaires were deployed as research tool, the Krejcie and Morgan descriptive statistics methods are used mean and S.D for testing the perception the level of leadership styles of school administrators, the data was analyzes used SPSS. The finding of this research were: 1. The level of leadership styles of school administrators in elementary Islamic school Tasikmalaya-Indonesia was high level = 4.11 and the highest level was directive leadership. This study was found that the principal as the school leader has an important role on improving the teacher performances with the main indicators as follows: 1) Directive Leadership, 2) Supportive leadership, 3) Achievement-oriented leadership, 4) Participative leadership.
