| บทคัดย่อ |
On the walls of the entrance to Wat Long Khoun temple in Lung Prabang, Laos, two gentlemen with strong Chinese style are painted. Obviously, their modeling language style is different from that of the surrounding temple characters. But it is also different from the expression of similar themes in China. This paper attempts to explore why they may be Chinese-style themes and visual rhetoric forms, and the possible identities of these two characters, and the relevant background information of their styling characteristics from the perspectives of "Iconology Analysis", "Stylistic Analysis", and "Situational Analysis". Denise Heywood has made a speculative analysis of these two images. I generally agree with Denise Heywood's statement about the identity of the two gentlemen at the entrance of the temple. But I don't agree with him that these two characters are wealthy businessmen. I think they are more likely to be civil servants who can both exorcise evil spirits and recruit wealth. A mixture of goalkeepers. |
