Abstract |
This paper aims to clarify the lesson plan enhance Grade 12 students’ competence on critical thinking and problem-solving in learning about Earth disaster STEM education. Methodology was a qualitative research that regarded interpretive paradigm. Students’ performances in STEM learning activities were interpreted to assess students’ competence on critical thinking and problem solving. Intervention was 4 lesson plans of Earth disaster STEM education as inquiry from context. Participants included 14 Grade 12 students who were studying in a district high school in Nong Khai province, Thailand, academic year of 2020. Tools of collecting data included worksheets, unstructured interview, participant observation, student tasks, and student journals. Data analysis was carried out based on theoretical framework of scoring rubrics. Students’ behaviors and performances, then, were categorized and developed pattern in order to explain the enhancing students’ critical thinking and problem solving. |
