| บทคัดย่อ |
Abstract
During the development of Chinese history, a large number of written records and artworks
in the form of paintings and sculptures related to sex culture emerged. “Sex” is an expression of the
primitive ancestors’ pursuit of happiness and hope for prosperity, a kind of praise and aspiration for
the reproductive capacity of the biological world, and a popular custom in primitive societies, so many
works of art related to sex have been produced around the world, and these works are also the earliest
origins of sex symbolic art. However, these works of art related to sex have been controversial in the
process of social development, and because of its special characteristics, its historical and artistic
features have been marginalized and not well organized and protected, but it cannot be denied that it is
an indispensable part of the historical development. In this paper, we try to understand how these works
of art related to sex had an impact on people’s lives in the society at that time through historical data.
On a social level, the study of these works helped to change the prejudice of the outside world against
the sexual conservatism of China and the prejudice against traditional Chinese paintings, which had a
role in sexual enlightenment in the society at that time, so to speak, as a textbook for the dissemination
of sexual knowledge to guide young people on how to have sex. On an artistic level, these drawings
are among the finest of Chinese overlay prints, providing valuable historical material for the study of
Chinese prints and, to a lesser extent, influencing the creation of early Japanese ukiyo-e. This paper
will therefore examine some of the roles that Chinese artworks related to sexual symbols have played
in the history of Chinese art development. |
