Abstract |
Corrosion is significant factor for steel structure. Many
steel structure, rust is the most common corrosion. In order to classify rust to the standard, such as ASTM, a visual inspection has been used. However, this method may include some bias. This study was set to determine whether machine learning might be used to classify rust with ASTM standard. 1155 images were prepared for model development. A convolutional neural network
(CNN) was used in order to develop the model. 80 percent of the data were used to train the model and 20 percent were used for model verification. Finally, the model has an accuracy 79.48 percent. |
