Abstract |
Abstract
This study investigates the critical role of social capital in the success of Indian Female-Led migrant businesses, using the Indo-Western Institute of Cultural Art (IWICA) in Bangkok as a case study. The main objective is to explore how structural, relational, and cognitive social capital contribute to overcoming entrepreneurial barriers faced by migrant women in foreign markets. A qualitative case study methodology was employed, incorporating semi-structured interviews with the founder, Benita Shah, and other key stakeholders. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to uncover patterns of social capital utilization. The results reveal that social capital, through formal networks like the Indo-Thai Chamber of Commerce and informal community ties, plays a crucial role in business growth, while also helping migrant female entrepreneurs navigate gender-specific challenges. This study provides valuable insights into how social capital fosters the success of Indian Female migrant -Led businesses in Thailand.
