     Abstract This research aims to broaden our understanding of opinion of new semi-skill labour in Khon Kaen, the large province of Northeast, about migrating to working aboard. The specific research objectives include investigating the factor of decision making of new semi-skill Thai labours to migrating for work oversea, and to study incentive and expectation of migration in view of new generation labour. This research is survey research. The samples of this research are 147 pre-employment trainees of the Khon Kaen Institute of Skill Development Region 6, where are a unit of the Department of Skill Development (DSD), during October 2007 – April 2008. Purposive sampling is use to selected the sample of this research. Data is gathering by the use of questionnaire. Data analyze by the computer software. Statistical data method use for data analysis are; descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, and logistic regression. The results indicated that most of samples are: male, 19.84 of average age, educated on secondary school, single, born in Khon Kaen, staying in municipal area in this province, labour wage family occupation, 7,425.17 baht of average family income, 4.76 of average family member, 2.18 of average family workforce. 61.90% of sample decides to migrate for work oversea and most of them choose to migrate to Taiwan and Korea. The factor of decision to migrating include: gender, place of birth, current resident, occupation of family, number of workforce in family, member of family was work aboard, and relative was work aboard. Most incentive of migration is high wage. Most expectation of migration is get the new experience and knowledge.
