| บทคัดย่อ |
If rose extracts which have antioxidant properties could permeate across the skin, then they could effect to the cells and these could give safety profile in cosmetics. This study compared in vitro permeation of 2 rose extracts including damask roses (Rosa damascena Mill.) which are extracted with hydroglycol and roses (Rosa spp.) which are extracted with water and acidified then separated by column chromatography. Both concentrate extracts permeated through porcine skin into solution in receptor phase at 37°C, found linear correlation between total phenolic content of donor phase versus time of permeation by UV-spectrophotometry at 765nm of both rose extracts comparing to gallic acid. Therefore damask roses extract and roses extract have permeation rate through porcine skin equal to 10.3 and 44.8 μgGAE/cm2/h and have lag time around 2 and 1 hour, respectively. Quantification of total anthocyanins content by pH diffential method found total anthocyanins content approximately 1 – 2mg/g weight of dried petals. This showed ability of permeation of roses extracts in form of phenolic groups which partially effect from anthocyanins which mostly found in colored flower. |
