     Abstract The research aimed to analyze the web-based learning environment design in accordance with the Constructivist learning environment in order to enhance the Mental model on the movement of object taught in grade nine students class. The research design was the developmental research (Richey and Klein, 2005) with its design model in phase 1: the product design and development phase, as well as the use of the documentary research described in five steps: 1) analyzed the principles and learning theories, 2) analyzed the literature reviews, 3) studied the context of teaching and learning in secondary schools, 4) synthesized the theoretical framework, and 5) analyzed the web-based learning environment design based on the Constructivist learning environment to enhance the Mental model on the movement of object for the 9th graders. The results suggested that the designing framework consisted of four elements included: 1) encouraging students to build cognitive conflict and promoting Mental models, 2) promoting intellectual balance and associating experiences, 3) provoking knowledge creation and Mental models, and 4) promoting the context of knowledge creation in appropriate ways.
