| บทคัดย่อ |
The purpose of this study focusses on the characteristics of community-based rural tourism (CBRT) in central Vietnam that indicated its contribution on rural development. A case study in Tra Que village as a significant representative of CBRT village selected to investigate. The study used a qualitative research approach with a small focus group discussion method. Five key informants were invited to come to discussion. The instrument consists of prepared questions related to research objectives. The research results described main characteristics of CBRT with the importance of community participation and CBRT indicated as a tool for livelihood improvement of local people. Also, CBRT reported as the main element which created the success of rural development in Vietnam through economic and social-cultural impact. The research result revealed the impact of CBRT into economic aspect was showed positively include income and job opportunity. Besides, the tourism activity promoted the well-know of the reputation of local agricultural product. This created a sustainable livelihood for rural people who live base on agricultural activities. For the social-cultural, through tourism development, the public policies were improved, such as road, electricity, water. Also, the education level and communication skill of local people increased. Although CBRT brings the negative impacts, include rising living cost, changing traditional cultural; the contribution of CBRT surely recognized in rural development at central Vietnam. |
