| Abstract |
Wheatgrass, the young grass of the common wheat plant (Triticum aestivum L.) Its components include chlorophyll, flavonoids, and vitamins C and E. Forms of wheatgrass include fresh juice, frozen juice, tablets, and powders, with compositions varying according to the Growth media for wheatgrass were compared in the current study: peat-moss, sand, coconut coir dust, vermicompost, biochar and rick husk. The aims of this study are therefore to study evaluation of nutrition in wheatgrass on different growth media production processes of the wheatgrass. The result significantly in wheatgrass found that minerals content (K, Mg, Ca, Na, Fe, Mn, Zn and Cu) using coconut coir dust and vermicompost as based media found highest potassium (6.25 and 6.21g/100g) and sodium (0.38 and 0.30 g/100g) and lower Cu. The height found in sand treatment; Fe (609.07 mg/kg), Mn (84.08 mg/kg), Zn (126.43 mg/kg) and (Cu 17.78 mg/kg) respectively and magnesium content not significantly. Accordingly, growth media by coconut coir dust, vermicompost and sand in this study appeared to be suitable media to use in wheatgrass production but used sand as the growth media may be lowest of yield. |
