     Abstract The aim of the article on the guidelines for preservation and development of the traditional dance form of Pong Lang band of the Northeastern College of Dramatic Arts is to study the history of the guidelines and the development of the form of traditional dance form of Pong Lang band of the Northeastern College of Dramatic Arts. This research is qualitative research by collecting the data from documents, field research, interviews with the experts, the practitioners, and related people. The data were analyzed through a descriptive analysis theory framework. The result of the study shows that: The Roi Et Northeastern College of Dramatic Arts established the Pong Lang band in 1979. Later on, the Kalasin College of Dramatic Arts established the Pong Lang band in 1983, and Nakhon Ratchasima, the Northeastern College of Dramatic Arts, established their Pong Lang band in 1995. The performance consists of three stages: 1. the starting of the performance 2. the performance and 3. the end of the conclusion of the performance. The guidance of preservation and the development of the traditional dance form, Pong Lang, of the Northeastern College of Dramatic Arts are as follows; 1. the preservation of the music is done through the preservation of the traditional instruments and the development is to include some technology in terms of adding more modern instruments. 2. the preservation of the performance is to perform the traditional dance form, and the development is adding in new sets of creative performance. 3. The preservation of the miscellaneous performance is to perform comedy and singing, and the development is to include a storyline in the comedy show and dance accompanying the singing. 4. the preservation of the songs is to perform traditional Mor Lum pattern, and the development is to use the traditional pattern but adding in the solo parts and adding in more instruments as well as the Look Tung and more modern music. 5. the preservation of the moderator is to use Phaya expressions, and the development is to maintain that. 6. the preservation of the costume is to use local cloth and maintain the authenticity of clothing in real life, and the development is to add in more decoration using new materials in order for the costume to look more colorful and modern.
