Abstract |
Four known meroterpenoids, chevalones A-C and E, four known sesquiterpene alkaloids, CJ-12662, CJ-12663, fischerindoline and eurochevalierine, and a known isochaetominine C were isolated from the fungus Neosartorya pseudofischeri. Their structures were established on the basis of spectroscopic evidence. CJ-12662 and eurochevalierine have previously been reported to exhibit antimalarial activity against Plasmodium falciparum, while chevalone C, CJ-12662 and eurochevalierine showed antimycobacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. In addition, most of them showed cytotoxicity against some cancer cell lines. |
