     Abstract This study is about organic farming standards practiced among farmers in Hlaing Wa - K’ Law Noe Village, Hpa-an Township, Karen State, Myanmar. The research aims to (1) study the production process of organic farming according to Organic Farming Standards among organic farmers and (2) identify factors related to the applications of Organic Farming in Hlaing Wa - K’ Law Noe village in Hpa-an Township, Karen State, Myanmar. The research was conducted by interviewing 15 key informants from 13 December 2021 to 15 January 2022. The study identifies and discusses the practices of organic farming among farmers in Hlaing Wa - K’ Law Noe Village by using a phenomenological methodology to understand respondents’ experiences and working conditions related to factors and production process of organic farming. The results show that the majority of respondents are traditionally practicing Organic Food Crop Farming as their primary occupation while raising livestock, running grocery, making handicraft and others are their additional jobs. The results also indicate that all of respondents use homemade organic fertilizers only, which are made of animals’ manures and wastes of leaves. Then, key findings indicated that the farms are subsistence farming which are used for household consumption and only surplus are sold out. According to participants, the local farmers need organic farming techniques, subsidies and funds from the Myanmar government and other related agencies for improvement of organic production and marketing both domestically and internationally.
