     Abstract The objectives of this study aimed to investigate linguistic strategies presented on Thai television and to examine the Chineseness in Thai society and TV dramas,in which the protagonist or the protagonist's family were Chinese immigrants from China or Thai Chinese, with a total of twenty-nine dramas. The data was collected from Thai television from 2008 to 2018 for ten years and analyzed with descriptive presentation.The findings reveal that there were two linguistic features that appeared in TV dramas 1) Verbal language: 1) Word choice (Addressing terms), 2) Conceptual metaphor, and 3) Allusion, 2) Non-verbal language: 1) Sound, 2) Scene, 3) Dress, and 4)Color. Furthermore, the results also revealed that there were five characteristics of Chineseness in Thai societywhich were: 1) Prioritized family, 2) Prioritized a son rather than a daughter, 3) Prioritized the masculine society, 4) Prioritized Chinese culture and traditions, 5) Belief in Gods and Sacred things.Additionally, the results correspondingly indicatedthat Chineseness has been found, in Thai TV dramas where the protagonist or the family of the protagonist are Chinese immigrants from China or Thai Chinese, was reflected through the way of life of the characters in the story.
