Abstract
12 The aimed of this study is to explore the effect of Camellia Oleifera extract in the reproduction 13 system of P. canaliculate that can be help to control the negatives impact of Pomacea 14 canaliculate. The Golden apple snail (Pomacea canaliculata Lamarck) is a freshwater snail in 15 the family of Ampullariidae. They had been introduced to Thailand in the 1980s and reported as 16 severe rice pests in 1988. The department of agriculture of Thailand recommended using 17 Niclosamide as a chemical molluscicide to control the snails. Natural resource such as Camellia 18 Oleifera as one of the molluscicides plant should have a benefite to reduced the quantity of 19 Golden snail because price friendly, environmental friendly, and safe for human. Camellia 20 Oleifera have the special characteristic for golden snail because it’s high toxicity, specific 21 performance to the target mollusk, convenience to prepare, and leaving no residuals in the 22 environment. The extract of this plant has been applied for static aquatic toxicology technique 23 within 48 hours were performed in this experiment. The extraction of Camellia oleifera have the 24 effect to the histological reproductive organs Ovary and Testis of P. Canaliculata. |
