Abstract This research aims to design and develop of digital learning ecosystem to enhance programming problem solving thinking for grade 12th students. The research follows the developmental research approach proposed by Richey and Klein (2007), which comprises three processes: 1) the design process, 2) the development process, and 3) the evaluation process. This study is currently in the design and development phase. The sample group for this research consists of 11 experts in various fields, including content experts, media experts, digital learning environment design experts, and assessment experts. The research findings indicate that the developed digital learning environment system, which promotes problem-solving skills in programming, consists of three components: 1) the teacher's components (expert room, review room, learning exchange room, and programmer community), 2) the expert's components (expert room, review room, learning exchange room, and programmer community), and 3) the student's components (problem situation, learning resources, cognitive tools, learning exchange room, programming problem-solving promotion center, support base, programmer community, and expert room). The evaluation results of the developed system's effectiveness confirm the quality of the digital learning environment system that enhances problem-solving skills in programming for 6th-grade secondary school students. The experts' opinions regarding the system's effectiveness in promoting problem-solving skills in programming for 6 th-grade students were highly positive (mean = 4.45, standard deviation = 0.41).
