Abstract he research’s objectives were 1) to study components and life and career skill indicators of high school students in Thailand and 2) to develop and check the reliability of model life and career skills for high school students in Thailand. The sample group was 1,050 high school students at the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), and the sample size, which was not lower than 500 people, corresponded with the Item Response Theory. The obtained sample from the stratified random sampling. The research tool used to collect data was a five-level rating scale questionnaire (one document), The instrument demonstrated good content validity with a Content Validity Index (CVI) level from five experts was 0.82. Specifically, the levels of reliability for individual items and the whole document were from 0.881 to 0.892 and at 0.890, respectively. Data analysis used average, standard deviation (S.D.), and second confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). As a result, findings indicated that 1) The life and career skill component of high school students comprises five components:1. Flexibility and Adaptability, 2. Initiative and Self-Direction, 3. Social and Cross-Cultural Skills,4. Productivity and Accountability, and 5. Leadership and Responsibility. 2) The model of life and career skills of high school students substantially corresponded with the empirical data and excellent construct validity, supported by a variety of goodness-of-fit indices (CFI = 0.99, TLI = 0.99, RMSEA = 0.01, SRMR = 0.01)
