Abstract |
Abstract (English)
This article aims to study the investigated the use of internet of small firms in Thailand, along with its impact, to understand the dynamics of competitiveness and how it affects new economics. The study selected Northeastern region in Thailand. This study collected data from academic and semi-academic documents, semi-structured interviews, participatory and non-participatory observations, and group discussion. The key informants were residents within establishment, owner/managers, expert academics, government and agent from Office of the nation Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission. The results found that the driving forces affecting the use of internet of small firms include: 1) Communications; 2) Digital divide policy; 3) Globalizations; 4) New economics or Digital economics. The study also found impacts the use of internet of small firms including 1) Attribute of small firms; 2) Resource base view of the use of internet.
