Abstract The concept of wellbeing has been recently widespread both in academics and policy circle. While disagreement in the concepts of wellbeing has continued, there has been considerable tools or measurements developed. However, measurement of wellbeing is largely focus on individuals, whereas measurements of collective or community wellbeing remain underdeveloped. This paper examines and develops measurement of wellbeing of community in the Northeast of Thailand. This study is based on a review of relevant and existing papers and reports about the community wellbeing. The results show that the domains of community wellbeing included subjective wellbeing and objective wellbeing. There are four domains and twenty-one indicators. The four domains are 1) community strengthening 2) trust 3) social inclusion and 4) social empowerment. Community wellbeing indicators are the important information for measuring progress, decision and policy making in the local level. Even though these indicators synthesize from the related documents and researches, there are necessary to define from the communities.
