Abstract |
Feet are a very important part of the body because it is the relationship with the organs of the body because the feet are the focus of nerve endings and blood vessels from other parts. Coconut Shell is one step on the science of natural healing. To make the body back to normal and can work effectively with Coconut Shell Massage is helpful in promoting the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. Currently, foot massages with coconut shell as a treatment alternative that is popular especially in health care on their own but the lack of a research methodology that credibility. The purposes of this study was preliminarily determine the immediate effect of foot massage with coconut shell on pressure pain threshold and foot grip strength in healthy subjects. 13 subjects participated in the study all the volunteers received assessment pressure pain threshold and measuring foot grip strength before and after the foot massage with coconut shell. The results showed that foot massage with coconut shell on the pressure pain threshold and foot grip strength found that differences were significant statistically (P>0.05). In addition, foot massage with coconut shells the immediate effect of reducing levels of pain with pressure pain threshold and increase of foot grip strength. |
