     Abstract In this paper, an economic order quantity (EOQ) model is proposed for imperfect items in a lot of product. A single sampling plan is considered in this model. The items are chosen and inspected by attribute. If the number of defective items is less than the acceptance number, the lot is accepted. On the other hand, the items are fully inspected, and then the numbers of defective items are sent to repair. The procedure of this plan is obtained to find the optimal order size, the optimal sample size, and the optimal acceptance number of items for maximizing the total profit per unit time based on the lot tolerance percentage of defective (LTPD), the consumer risk and the average outgoing quality limit (AOQL). Moreover, a numerical example and sensitively analysis are exemplified.
