ABSTRACT
The electronics industry of Thailand has been growing rapidly over the past 10 years. Thailand is the one of main destinations for investors to choose as the base for processing and manufacturing of electronics. Printed Circuit Broad (PCB) is quite the main product to integrate and combine electronics parts all together. It shows that there is a good opportunity for PCB manufacturers, which operate in Thai market. Critical process is Copper Plating process which is highest scrap in process. The chosen tool is Six Sigma which is one of the best tool to approaches for quality assurance and management in PCB manufacturing. In this study using Data Analysis, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design of Experiment (DOE) and Control charts etc.. To define the problem in order to find the root causes for the problem and carry out experiments in order to suggest improvements, through which company can bring in Quality and Satiability in their process. Two main reasons that strongly effect the product rejections re discovered. The new improved process is validated through a pilot batch run. Using Six Sigma method, the rejection percentage is reduced by 15.2% from the existing 60.1% of rejection. For the further improvement in the rejection is expected in the long run after the continuous implementation of all the solutions.
