Abstract The research aims to develop and verify the quality of the situational mathematical habits-of- mind test for lower secondary students in an opportunity expansion school. The target group was 593 lower secondary students of an opportunity expansion school of academic year 2018 in Udonthani Primary Educational Service Office Area 2. The research instrument was a situational mathematical habits-of-mind test which was separated into two parts; mathematical habits-of-mind test for affective domain (rating scale 28 items) and mathematical habits-of-mind test for cognitive domain (mutipel choice 20 items) . Seven elements from the framework of Costa & Kallick (2000) were applied in the research. The data was analyzed into content validity, criterion-related validity, construct validity (confirmatory factor analysis: CFA), Item-total correlation, difficulty index , Kuder- Richardson for multiple choice, and Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for scale. The research results have shown that the mathematical habits-of-mind test for lower secondary student is statistically significant at 0.01 level for criterion-related validity when verified with the Student Reflection Tool: Mathematical Habits-of-mind of Teachers Development Group V.2.2. The test is statistically significant at 0.01 level for criterion- related validity when verified with the mathematics grade point average. The Goodness of Fit of the mathematical habits-of-mind test for lower secondary student has Chi-Square = 270.175, df = 237, Chi-Square/df = 1.139, P-Value = 0.068, RMSEA = 0.015, CFI = 0.973, TLI = 0.969, SRMR = 0.033. The mathematical habits-of-mind test has two parts as follows; (1) Situational mathematical habits-of-mind test with rating scale by applying Krathwohl et al.’s affective domain test. There are 28 items in the test. The item total correlation is between 0.48-0.58. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient is 0.76. (2) Situational mathematical habits-of-mind with multiple choices. There are 20 items in the test. The IOC is between 0.6 to 1.0. Item-total correlation is between 0.20-0.42. The difficulty index is between 0.20-0.49. The reliability by Kuder-Richardson is 0.5.
