| บทคัดย่อ |
Wind energy assessment in Nong Khai, north eastern of Thailand by using micro sitting method was studied. Wind speeds, Wind directions at 60, 90 and 120 m above ground level (AGL) were recorded for time interval every 10 minutes during 3 years data period form October 2011 to September 2014 was recorded in NGR data logger. The annual wind speeds at 60, 90 and 120 m AGL were 2.85, 3.45 and 3.84 m/s, respectively. WAsP10. 0 was used to calculate the Annual Energy Production ( AEP) and Capacity Factor (Cf) , the results showed that maximum AEP and capacity factor from selective wind turbines were 4000 MWh/year for VESTAS 3.0 MW and 18.78% of Cf for VESTAS 2.2 MW wind turbine, respectively. It is quite low of wind power performance in this region, therefore it is not suitable for commercial investment for grid connection in Nong Khai but might be suitable for traditional application such as water pumping and battery charging.
