Abstract Aging Society is occurring in many countries worldwide including Thailand. Accordingly, Thai government supports TTM believed that health and well-being relies on the balance of life energy in the elderly. As known as immunosenescence is aged-related decline of immunity, also change the number of some immune cells. TTM is an alternative treatment using the thumb to apply deep massage on ten lines body. It is believed that can improve immunity. Nevertheless, no one has studied the effect of TTM on immune status in aging by randomized controlled trial study. Participants aged 60 to 80 years were randomly assigned to start with TTM and start with rest then crossing over with wash out 1 month. This study was investigated at baseline (Pre-, before), short term (S-, after within 60 mins) and long term (L-, after within 24 hr at the end of once a weekly interventions for 5 weeks) of TTM and Rest. Outcome measures obtained at Pre, S and L. The differences between TTM and Rest compared by using a repeated measure ANOVA with Bonferroni’s post-hoc test. To shows immune cells were changed after receiving interventions. The study shows significantly increasing of neutrophil and NK cell after getting TTM within 60 mins (P = 0.012, P = 0.032, respectively). Additional, after received TTM 5 consecutive weeks affect to decrease significantly of neutrophil (P = 0.028). After receiving TTM that displays changing of neutrophil and NK cell which are acts on immune system. The study have been supported the hypothesis TTM affect the level of cellular immunosenescence in aging. We suggest that should be further studied whether the function of the cell can be changed.
