     Abstract Abstract This article is in language attitude that aims to investigate the Suay people’s attitude toward their language which spoken at Lamplaymas district, Buriram province. The key social factors are age and gender. The research tool is the language attitude questionnaires which was adapted from Utaka Tomioka (2009) There are 20 key informants over 40 years old who have lived in this district including speaking Suay language in daily life. The rating scale was used in 25 topics the questionnaires that were separated into 23 positive attitude and 2 negative attitude topics. The result was found that in positive topics the people have average attitude at ‘the most’ in 6 topics, ‘most’ in 12 topics, and ‘mean’ in 5 topics. The 2 negative topics was at ‘most’ in 1 topic and another one is at ‘low’. The statistic was shown that Suay people have still more positive attitude toward their language as it is their native language than negative attitude. So, their attitude effects to maintenance Suay language in next generation. Keywords; Language attitude, Suay language, Language maintenance, Language loss
