     Abstract The paper aimed to clarify the development of the STEAM polymer learning unit through Ethical dilemma plastic story. According to the plastic pollution, the ethical dilemma plastic story (EDS) could provide ideas of developing the STEAM polymer learning unit. The process of developing the STEAM polymer learning unit through Ethical dilemma plastic story followed the 10 phases of Mezirow (2000)’s transformative learning process. The unit, then, was provided totally 11 parts of plastics story which scaffold students to integrate the Arts (language (the story), morality, ethics, values, awareness and communication etc.) with STEM knowledge. The EDS Plastic was developed concerning on Thailand curriculum content standard indicators of polymer that the content standard (MOE, 2017) would be provided including definition and type of polymers, polymerization, polymer structure, polymer products, and effects of the production and use of polymers on organisms and the environment. Based on the curriculum content standard and developing STEAM soft projects through the Ethical dilemma plastic story, the unit could provide 20 periods of lesson plan for a semester (1 period is 50 minutes a week). The paper will discuss more details for each phases of the the STEAM polymer learning unit through Ethical dilemma plastic story. This paper may have implications for implement STEAM education in school setting.
