     Abstract This article is a part of the dissertation of Cultural Identity in Lao Graphic, aimed to present History and Development of Graphic Works in Laos PDR. Qualitative methods employed by designed tools: Graphic survey forms to collect graphic works existed in Laos PDR and utilized the tool in process consisting of history and theory related to graphic documenting research and field survey. The collected data and information analysis was sorted into development of graphic in the order of era concluded the history and development of graphic in Laos PDR into 3 periods: 1. Graphic works in Lan Xang Kingdom (1353-1954 A.D) The primarily era and basis of present Lao culture starting from Luang Phrabang City in the Northern Laos PDR which related to neighboring lands: Cambodia, Thailand, etc. The main character of the graphic is Buddhism. 2. Graphic works in Laos Kingdom (1954-1975 A.D.) The Lan Xang era under changes in colony time expressed relation of political struggles and freedom call 3. Modern graphic works (1975-2017 A.D.) The time Laos PDR interacted with the world and accepts new technology to develop the country. Graphic characterized are contemporary with patterns complied to international concepts.
