Abstract |
Systems theory assists policymakers and practitioners in public and private organizations in its management development, including planning, efficient operations, and holistically understanding organizational situations. This article aims to present the application of systems theory in locating the knowledge gap in the standardization process within the Department of Standardization and Metrology, Lao PDR. The narrative literature review approach is applied to synthesize this article. Systems theory application seeks to understand the relationship among input, output, feedback, and the process of standard designation to procreate the three ideas and narrow down on actual and specific knowledge gaps. This article exhibits the fundamental key concepts of systems theory and standardization for scholars and practitioners to learn and utilize in their further study and development of standardized works. |
