     Abstract This research aimed to explore the positive leadership’s significant factors and indicators of secondary school administrators in Thailand. The researchers employed a mixed-mode research design encompassing focus group interviews with nine experts and a survey with 400 school directors and teachers using a multistage sampling technique. Two types of research instruments were used, namely a predetermined semi-structured interview protocol and a questionnaire. In the first phase, an extensive literature review was conducted on 22 previous research reports to develop an interview protocol. The focus group interviews were carried out with nine experts to conceptualize the indicators of the positive leadership model. The 10 identified indicators were used to develop a questionnaire to conduct a survey of 400 respondents quantitatively. The obtained data were analyzed using exploratory data analysis. The focus group interview results revealed 10 essential indicators of positive leadership, namely (i) Focusing on Strengths; (ii) Upholding Social Values; (iii) Upholding Morality and Equality; (iv) Facilitating Others; (v) Promoting Personal Progress and Development; (vi) Empowerment; (vii) Positive Communication; (viii) Self-awareness; (ix) Optimism, and (x) Inspiration. The results of orthogonal rotation with the varimax method showed that only three factors, namely Positive Support, Facilitating Fairness, and Appreciating Individually can be used to explain the total variance of 66.986 percent which exceeded the minimum requirement of 60 percent. Finally, the factor loading results have successfully supported the three factors to be the important constructs of positive leadership as reported from exploratory factor analysis.
