In western context, investigated interventions for SCI person with chronic stage, such as rehabilitation program by physiotherapist. Some studies were conducted with major caregivers for building caring ability. Two intervention focused on training and supporting families to increase caring and coping skills, stress reduction, and emotional management based on multiple families approach. Most outcomes were measured psychological aspect, knowledge, skill, and quality of life. No study was intervened for helping family with SCI person during crisis period.
Conclusion: Family with SCI person troubles both body and mind. The previous studies most focused on SCI person and major caregivers in hospital setting.
