Abstract The flipped classroom is an innovative teaching technique, which combines social media and modern technology with education and is an opportunity to increase the motivation and learning satisfaction of students with in-class and out-of-class activities. The objectives of this study aimed to investigate the effects of secondary students’ learning English grammatical structures through the flipped classroom and to explore their level of learning satisfaction. The participants included 40 students in Mathayomsuksa 2 (Grade 8) who studied in the second semester of the academic year 2017. The research instruments used to collect the data in the study were 1) pretests and posttests using multiple choice and writing tests, 2) flipped classroom lessons (uploaded to Facebook) and 3) a questionnaire. The data was analysed by using SPSS. A paired samples t-test was carried out to determine the mean, standard deviation and percentage. The results showed that the mean scores of the posttests were higher than those of the pretests with a statistically significant difference at 0.05. The study revealed that students’ English grammatical structures improved after learning through the flipped classroom. Furthermore, the students’ learning satisfaction demonstrated a high level (M = 4.33, S.D. = 0.37). The key findings of the study showed that the flipped classroom technique increased the students’ English grammatical structures, learning satisfaction, responsibilities and motivation. Keywords: Flipped classroom, student-centred learning
