     Abstract This study aimed to investigate symptom experiences, symptom management strategies, and quality of life among advanced cancer patients receiving palliative care using symptom management model. A total of 120 advance stage cancer participants receiving palliative care at an oncological hospital located in Vietnam were recruited based on purposive sample method. The results revealed that pain was the most common (83.3%) and distressing symptom. Pain killer was the most significant pharmacological strategy, while spiritual therapy (40%) was the most significant non-pharmacological strategy. Moreover, quality of life among patients was in moderate level. These findings would be used for baseline information in order to control symptoms and improve quality of life among Vietnamese advanced cancer patients receiving palliative care.
